Broad buckler fern

“Broad buckler fernThe broad buckler fern (Dryopteris dilatata) is a common sight in the woods. Its wide triangular leaves grow up to 100cm in length and it can be distinguished from similar deciduous ferns by the noticeable spacing between the individual leaflets arranged along the stem. Usually found growing in shade, this fern requires moist soils and/or deep leaf litter.
